Are we still reading books?! You should be! Some of my favorite books are usually autobiographies from people that have been in musical acts that far reached what I’ve ever been able to accomplish. That being said, the last year or so has been quite a ride as I began to take on a new venture into book publishing with one of my favorite punk rockers, Peter Wesley Bastone - a man who spent most of his time in Enfield, CT but found himself on a variety of misadventures in LA that would lead to him becoming a DJ, starting his own band (Grènpètr), somehow finding himself doing sound for the Red Hot Chili Peppers one night, working with Devo’s, Bob Mothersbaugh, and much more.

There are books written about the underground, and then there are books written by people who have actually survived it. This is his life story, written in his own perspective. Therefore, this book isn’t written like a straight forward summary of his life but more so through the eyes of a wiser man looking back at his own success and failures through the fog of cannabis smoke, backstage disasters, afterparties, addiction, paranoia, celebrity encounters, underground clubs, and the endless pursuit of identity inside the LA Music Scene of the 80s.

For artists and anyone else who has spent years chasing something larger than themselves, “Books of Bastone: The Storyhits a nerve because it

understands the cost of creative survival. This isn’t a corporate story about “Making It” but more so about his encounters and realities in the music industry.

I’m proud to announce that Peter Wesley Bastones', “The Books of Bastone: The Story”, has made its’ debut today through Postfix Publishing.

Available now through Amazon, “The Books of Bastone: The Storywas built off the back of a punk rocker just trying to make it through city life by himself. The book was assembled just like Peter spent his life: creative hardwork, hands-on production, and a commitment to keeping the spirit of rock and roll alive.

I wanted to preserve the rough edges of the writing as I edited, formatted, published, and put together the cover of the story using a photograph by Tara Gordon - correcting only grammar and very little sentence structure.

For readers connected to underground music culture, nightlife, punk spaces, metal scenes, DJ culture, or the realities behind artistic ambition, “The Books of Bastone: The Storyoffers something familiar, the feeling of staring directly into chaos while chasing your next endorphin.

Purchase your copy today. The money goes towards helping local artist spaces.
